Animal Feeding

Young children and toddlers love to feed  animals and, five mornings a week, they get the chance help Farmer Tim.

They hold tight to bottles of milk for the lambs; they drop pellets for the pigs and watch them devour the scraps from their kitchens (they love Tim's special backscratching trick to turn a pig's curly tail straight). And the children can actually feed the goats and chickens straight from their hands. The chickens' beaks tickle small palms and, though goats are fans of indiscriminate eating, Tim offers free holidays to anyone bitten by a goat (and, obviously, is yet to forfeit one).

From what they say, as well as from the pictures pinned in the playbarn, for many children, feeding an animal is their most treasured memory.
